2020: Energy Community - ACSM first pilot case at national level The Primiero and Vanoi valleys are in first place among the 6 best Italian companies included in the pilot study project that will provide the government with the data and information necessary to adopt legislative instruments suitable for the implementation of innovative energy models on the national territory. The inclusion of Primiero and the ACSM Group in the scope of the study conducted by RSE, in addition to confirming the excellence of the territory in terms of the experience gained in the energy field that make it a forerunner at the national level, represents an important opportunity to deepen and test at the highest level new and innovative energy models that can be elements to strive for in the path of future energy transition.
JUNE 2014: PRIMIERO AWARDED IN BRUSSELS FOR VIRTUOUS ENERGETIC CONTRIBUTION TO THE NEW SUSTAINABLE REVOLUTION
After having recognised Primiero and Vanoi as"100% renewable territories", Legambiente believed it was worth presenting our territory's candidature in Brussels on occasion of the RES Champions League, a competition amongst the best European locations, distinguished by their sustainability and the use of renewable resources. Last 25th June, Primiero and Vanoi were granted a special award for their virtuous energetic contribution to the new sustainable revolution.
MAY 2014: PRIMIERO IS AWARDED FIRST PRIZE IN THE LEGAMBIENTE RENEWABLE MUNICIPALITIES CONTEST
Legambiente presents Renewable Municipalities 2014, a map of green energy and innovation in Italian energy networks.
Our eight municipalities were recognised as a symbol of the new distributed generation scene. The Renewable Municipalities 2014 prize therefore goes to our territory, which is formed by Canal di San Bovo, Fiera di Primiero, Imèr, Mezzano, Sagron Mis, Siror, Tonadico and Transacqua.
The Primiero Valley, through a mix of five different technologies, satisfies the entire thermal and electrical needs of the Municipalities. Through two district heating networks (45 km long) and a publically owned electricity network, the municipally owned company, ACSM, distributes energy to users, produced by various sized hydroelectric plants (145 MW) and photovoltaic plants (4 MW) for the electrical part, and from solar plants (with 996 m2 of panels) and biomass plants (22 MW) for the thermal part.
