"Alpine Pearls" is an international network that brings together
19 tourist destinations in four countries of the Alps (Italy, Germany, Austria, and Slovenia) with the aim of promoting eco-friendly and sustainable tourism.
Each location – or rather, each
Alpine Pearl – is deeply committed to themes such as
environmental protection, responsible use of resources, preservation of local identities, and cultural particularities. As a result, they actively strive to offer conscious vacation experiences in harmony with nature, utilizing soft and eco-friendly mobility solutions.
In 2022, the Municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza also joined the "Alpine Pearls" network, further acknowledging its past efforts in sustainable environmental practices and aligning perfectly with the shared local strategic direction.
After confirming that the Municipality met the criteria in five main intervention categories (eco-friendly mobility, environmental quality, nature and biodiversity, feel-good quality, regional economic circuits, and food and wine culture),
a formal declaration of membership in the "Alpine Pearls" organization was signed during the shareholders' assembly in Weissensee (Austria) on October 16, 2021.
