Are you dreaming of a bike holiday in the enchanting landscape of the Dolomites? From April to October, San Martino di Castrozza and the valleys of Primiero and Vanoi become a true paradise for bikers; this territory is in fact part of the Dolomiti Lagorai Bikering, which charts a Mountain Bike region including over 1100 kilometres of off-road tracks through woods, fields and small alpine lakes.
Routes suited to all types of riders unfold in the heart of the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Nature Park, ranging from easy outings on the Primiero bicycle path to more demanding excursions through woods of rhododendron, fir and larch trees or thrilling itineraries that will take your breath away. Your efforts will be rewarded by the magnificent views over the peaks of the Pale di San Martino, the Lagorai range and the Vette Feltrine. This highly valued environment is the daily training ground for MTB world champion Massimo Debertolis.
In fact, here the intense thrills inspired by Nature are supported by an organised infrastructure: the Dolomiti S.Mart Bike project includes specialised hotels that are equipped for welcoming two-wheeled guests as well as listing bike shops, bike schools and all the precious services that mountain-bike lovers look for.
For this reason, after the 2011 edition, San Martino di Castrozza has been chosen once again as a stage for the legendary Craft Bike Transalp race in 2013, a spectacular event that mountain-bike enthusiasts call the "bikers’ Tour de France".
