Giro d'Italia 2024

Brocon Pass and Fiera di Primiero protagonists of the Giro 2024

In 2024 the "pink carovan" comes back on the San Martino di Castrozza Passo Rolle Primiero and Vanoi roads with the stage passage on May 22nd and the start from Fiera di Primiero the following day. That of the May 22nd is an important one, that with its final ascent on Brocon Pass, will challenge the participants and contribute to the result of the final ranking. The following day, Thursday May 23rd, the "Corsa Rosa" will start from the pittoresque old town of Fiera di Primiero for the stage nr 18° with arrival in the city of Padua
Two stages that will create an atmosphere of celebration for both inhabitants and visitors of the locality, ready to crowd along the San Martino di Castrozza, Fiera di Primiero and Vanoi roads, and to lurk at Rolle, Gobbera and Brocon Pass to await the final uphill passage of Maglia Rosa. Other than the stages that became part of the history of Giro d'Italia, as the ones that have seen protagonists at Rolle Pass authentic legends of this sport, such as Coppi and Bartali, the Corsa Rosa took place in our territory various other times. In 2009 and 2019 San Martino di Castrozza was the venue for the final stage with the finish line in the beautiful setting of the Pale di San Martino.
On the other hand, those who seek the fascination of riding over the Dolomite passes on two wheels, find in this area the ideal stage, whether in a race or even on holiday.
