The Palio della Sloiza is a challenge among the eight villages of Primiero, recreating one of the traditional agricultural activities of the past: using the "sloiza" (a sort of
sled) as a means of transport.
The teams will test their strength and skills by covering a stretch through the village with a “carga de fen” (pile of hay), “siegar el borel” (cutting a log), and ringing the cow bells. After various trials, the challenge concludes with the arrival in Piazza San Marco to “pestar su legne col manarin” (crush wood with the axe).
