Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Nature Park
The
Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Nature Park is located in Eastern Trentino covering 190 square kilometres of pristine land. The natural and colourful environment that characterises it is due to the intense green of the ancient forests, the lively green shade of the meadows, the pink of the
Pale di San Martino, the dark red of the
Lagorai rocks and also the blue of the lakes and the fawn of the coats of roe deer and deer. In fact the deer, which can be seen up close in the extensive wildlife area of the
Paneveggio visitors centre, is the animal symbol of the entire Park, however the name of this land is also known for the presence of red resonance spruce, especially suitable for the construction of musical instruments. Experiencing the Park means knowing it in all its aspects through activities and experiences in nature or in mountain huts, as well as through the visitor centres in
Paneveggio, in
Val Canali and at
San Martino di Castrozza or in
Vanoi discovering the
Eco-Museum and the
Ethnographic Trail.
