A spiced sausage specialty - perfect grilled or stewed with sauerkraut.

Lucanica Cauriota is a seasoned, aromatic pork sausage meant to be eaten fresh after grilling or simmering with sauerkraut. When aged and smoked, it becomes a delicacy to slice thinly and enjoy like a salami. In the past, almost every family raised a pig for home consumption, and sausage-making was a winter ritual repeated in every household.

Since 1914, Lucanica Cauriota has been produced by the Caser Butcher Shop in Caoria.
