Located at 745 meters above sea level, this small village has about 500 inhabitants and represents the commercial center (hence the name “Fiera”) of Primiero.

Its origins date back to around the year 1400, when Primiero – a fief of the Welsperg family and part of the Austrian Empire – experienced an extraordinary economic development, thanks also to the numerous mines of copper, silver, and iron.

Among the historical buildings worth mentioning are the Church of the Madonna dell’Assunta, an ancient Gothic church that houses the great triptych long kept in the Buonconsiglio Museum in Trento, the Church of San Martino, the Church of the Madonna dell’Aiuto, and the Palazzo delle Miniere.
