The high mountains are not only a destination for expert trekkers – they’re also perfect for families who want to share the thrill of the Dolomite landscapes, from 2,000 to 2,500 metres above sea level. San Martino di Castrozza makes it easy to reach the peaks thanks to convenient lifts: the 12-seat Tognola cable car takes you up to 2,100 metres on the Alpe Tognola, while the Colverde gondola and Rosetta cable car carry you to the spectacular Pale di San Martino Plateau, reaching 2,700 metres.
At the top, young and old alike can enjoy magnificent views, relax in welcoming mountain huts, follow gentle family-friendly hiking routes, and make the most of the specially equipped baby parks.
