Whether high up in the mountains or just a few steps from the village centre, close to amenities yet far from traffic, with shaded areas offering a cool retreat during the hottest hours — here are our playgrounds, special places where little (and big) friendships are born!
Playgrounds in the mountains
In San Martino di Castrozza, near the Plank Lake, you’ll find the Otter Park, dedicated to the valley’s symbolic animal, with wooden play structures and pleasant forest trails. In the village centre and towards the meadows in the Col area, the playgrounds feature fun and innovative structures — from a helicopter and a water path fountain to the more traditional slides and swings. In the Prà delle Nasse area, just a short walk from the centre, families can enjoy a day in the open air at the Lo Scoiattolo Playground, with slides, swings, seesaws, and balance courses. At an altitude of 2,200 metres on the Alpe Tognola, there’s also the free and open-to-all theme park “Alpe delle Marmotte”, where children can try the fun “Marble Slalom” and discover the unique mountain environment through play, together with the marmots Marco and Martina.
Village playgrounds
In Fiera di Primiero, the Vallombrosa Park with its large wooden play structures is the undisputed kingdom of the little ones: three themed villages dedicated to Mazaròl, Caza Beatrich, and the Guane introduce children to the legendary characters of Primiero’s folklore. Following the cycling and walking paths, you can also reach other green spaces for kids, such as those in Mezzano or Siror, the latter featuring a pump track filled with jumps, bumps, and bowls. The playground in Tonadico, close to the centre, can be reached via the fun Gnome Trail, while the one in Transacqua offers a panoramic view near the church. In Isolabella, there’s a playground with unique structures and an interactive fountain, while in Pieve, children have a dedicated area in Via San Rocco. The village of Imèr boasts two playgrounds — one in the Masi area and another near the sports complex, where children with disabilities can enjoy an original water game designed especially for their needs. The Vanoi Valley and Sagron Mis also offer wide open play areas where children can run and have fun safely.
A natural park!
In the heart of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, fun and discovery go hand in hand. In the large meadows surrounding Villa Welsperg, there’s a very special playground with a giant deer to climb and a wooden fairytale house! Following the Muse Fedaie Trail — a simple, barrier-free thematic path suitable for strollers — children can explore the incredible biodiversity of the Val Canali while playing. For the most curious, the adventure continues inside the Villa, where a magical trail filled with challenges such as the Hare’s Path and the Little Via Ferrata leads them to meet some of the park’s adorable inhabitants, like the deer, a lynx mother, and little marmots in their den.
And what about mum and dad?
While the little ones play in our playgrounds, parents can relax on one of the many benches positioned in the most scenic spots or on comfortable chaise longues with Dolomite views — the perfect place for a few moments of peace or to dive into a good book, while the kids make new friends and embark on new adventures!
