Monte Bedolè from Siror (path 355)

From the town center, take for a short stretch the sidewalk along state road 50. After crossing the bridge over the Cismon stream, near the village of Nolesca you will already find the first signs for "Monte Bedolè" (path 355 SAT). After easily passing the village and crossing state road 50 twice, the path climbs a steep dirt road, entering the woods.

After an initial climb, the path meets the paved road leading to the locality "Guastaie." Here, after walking for a few dozen meters along the road, you again find path 355 that climbs to the right (the entire route is very well signposted). This section of the path is characterized by the absence of trees due to the Vaia Storm which in October 2018 uprooted most of the southern slope of Monte Bedolè.

The route continues to climb until it meets path 356 which rises from Pieve, just above the forest road of Baita Zeni. Taking path 356, you continue in a bare environment until meeting another forest road called "Bedolè alta", alongside which stands a forest hut built in "stelari," from where you can enjoy an extraordinary view of the entire Primiero valley. Here you can stop for a break at the "book shelter," a high-altitude reading point at the forest hut on the eastern slope of Monte Bedolè, where it is possible to leaf through a book with a view of the Pale di San Martino, in an uncontaminated and very quiet place designed for those who frequent the mountains not only for hiking but also for cultural purposes. 

At this point, follow the forest road for a few hundred meters towards Mezzano, until you again intersect path 356 on the right, which, recently restored, climbs rather steeply the last ridge of the mountain, emerging on the forest road that connects Monte Bedolè with the Lozen Valley. Leaving the forest road after a few dozen meters, climb the last short stretch of path that reaches the summit cross (1792 m). 

From the summit, the panorama stretches from the Pale di San Martino to the Cimonega Group and up to the Vette Feltrine. 

For the descent, retrace the same itinerary of the ascent back to Siror.

The route crosses some of the areas most affected by the Vaia Storm, but it offers a unique view of the Primiero valley. 

The contrast between the southern slope, mostly bare after Vaia, and the northern slope covered by a lush fir forest is particularly striking.
