Four days to celebrate the end of grazing among the splendid pastures at the foot of the Pale di San Martino, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the stables in the valley.
Every year, with the first cold weather, herds of dairy cows, heifers, calves, and horses return to their home stables in the valley. Their long period of grazing in the high mountain pastures, rich in herbs and mountain flowers that give their milk and cheese the classic golden yellow color and unmistakable scent and aroma, is over.
A rich calendar of exclusive moments dedicated to the white gold of the Dolomites is planned, including on-farm experiences, the know-how and flavors of En di al Maso, the traditional cattle show, and the usual gastronomic exhibition.
A new immersive experience dedicated entirely to the dairy supply chain of Primiero, called Dì del Formai, is also on the schedule, which will take place in the beautiful setting of Palazzo Scopoli, hosting an interesting cheese tasting à la carte and Trentinese wines, an evening tasting session with themed recipes, workshops for kids, and an original sensory experience combining flavors, scents, and sounds.
All of this is enriched by moments of music and folklore in the various villages: from the traditional Beer Festival in Transacqua to a moment dedicated to pumpkins and autumn flavors in Imer, while Fiera di Primiero welcomes you with music and peasant atmospheres, awaiting the longest and most attended parade in the entire Alpine arc.
The Sunday of the “Desmontegada” is, in fact, the highlight of this event dedicated to tradition, breeding, and dairy products from Primiero. This event, which has grown over the years in activities and participants, reaches its 24th edition this year, always with the careful organization of the Tonadighi Strighi Association of Tonadico and the Tradition and Culture Committee of Siror, supporting the work and passion of the Primiero and Vanoi Breeders Union, with contributions from many other associations, entities, and businesses in the area, along with the enthusiasm of the whole local community.
