If you haven't packed one in your backpack, don't worry, we've got you covered! Here are some special libraries where you'll find the perfect reads for your days in the Dolomites!
FEDAIE MUSE PATH
Walking through the meadows and woods surrounding Villa Welsperg, home to the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, you'll discover the rich biodiversity that makes Val Canali unique. In each of the eight installations dedicated to the goddesses of Greek mythology, you'll find a selection of books at your disposal: choose the one that best suits you and enjoy this wonderful open-air library.
CLAROFONTE PARK
Clarofonte Park is a small green oasis nestled between the Cismon and Canali rivers, just steps from the center of Fiera di Primiero and the Intercommunal Library. In the large tree trunk at the center of the park, you'll find a selection of books for adults and children: stretch out comfortably on the large chaise longues arranged here and there and enjoy a relaxing reading break.
A PARK TO READ
Rain, I'm not afraid of you! If a passing cloud momentarily puts a pause on your excursion, you can seek shelter in the Villa Welsperg Library, small but well-stocked, with a reading area where you can enjoy a good book in complete relaxation. The over 5,000 volumes on display discuss the protected area, the Alps, and the mountains in general, while an entire section is dedicated to Dino Buzzati. The library is named after the writer, a frequent visitor to the Pale di San Martino and a great lover of the Canali Valley.
READING AT HIGH ALTITUDE
The view from Mount Bedolè is truly breathtaking. At the intersection of trails 355 and 356, you'll find a small, cozy forest lodge with large panoramic windows. Step inside and feel right at home: you'll find a selection of books dedicated to the mountains and the history of Primiero, an original way to share your love for these places, deeply marked by Vaia's passage.
