The Primiero Valley is a true paradise for orienteering, which can be practised year-round on foot, on cross-country skis or by mountain bike. Here, navigation skills count more than pure speed: the winner is whoever reads the map best and chooses the ideal route. All you need is a map, a compass, suitable footwear and a great sense of adventure. Among the local specialities is Trail-O, or “precision orienteering”, which is accessible to everyone. With a strong sporting tradition, Primiero hosted both the JWOC 2009 Junior World Championships and the ISF 2011 World School Championships.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF
Initiated by the Municipality of Imèr and with the technical collaboration of the Gruppo Sportivo Pavione, two permanent orienteering courses have been created in the municipality of Imèr. These fixed courses serve as outdoor training grounds to try orienteering within the town of Imèr and the surrounding forests.
Complete brochures for the permanent courses are available at the Imèr Information Office or can be downloaded and printed independently.
