Located at 746 meters above sea level, Transacqua, with its approximately 2,100 inhabitants, is the most populated village in the Primiero Valley.
The hamlets of Pieve and Ormanico enjoy a beautiful panoramic position overlooking the surrounding mountains.
In the 15th century, Transacqua was an important center for mining activities, with around 500 excavation tunnels used for the extraction of silver, copper, and argentiferous lead.
