Located at 760 meters above sea level, Tonadico has about 1,500 inhabitants and is considered the oldest village in the Primiero Valley. Situated at the foot of the ruins of Castel Pietra, this small village was once the administrative center of the valley.
The village is characterized by the presence of sacred images and frescoed murals on the façades of the houses, painted in different historical periods.
Among the historical buildings worth visiting are the small Church of San Vittore, built in the 11th century on a hill overlooking Tonadico, and Palazzo Scopoli, erected around the year 1000, restored in 2003 and now home to the “Casa del Cibo” (House of Food).
