Located at 640 meters above sea level, Mezzano has about 1,600 inhabitants and is listed among “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy”.
The village is characterized by its rural appearance, which has remained unchanged over time, by the inscriptions and the numerous religious-themed frescoes adorning the façades of the houses, as well as by the many gardens – around 400 – that form the green heart of Mezzano.
Just a short distance from the village, you can reach enchanting spots such as the little church of San Giovanni at 1,175 meters, in the area of Prati Lièndri. It can be reached on foot in about one hour along a paved road starting from the center of Mezzano.
