Located 670 meters above sea level, Imèr has about 1,200 inhabitants and was a border area between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy until the end of the First World War.
Every year, Imèr hosts the Canederlo Festival, a culinary event featuring this typical Trentino dish presented in all its variations.
Among the historic buildings, we note the ancient church of San Silvestro, dating back to the 13th century and a place of pilgrimage on December 31st and May 1st each year.
