Art, history and landscape in the heart of Primiero
In the evocative scenery of Primiero, the Path of the Arcipretali is born, a path that combines the pleasure of walking with the discovery of art and local history.
The path leads to Rivetta Koch, a panoramic point from which you can admire the apse and the bell tower of the archpriest church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, the identity symbol of the valley.
Along the way, the visitor encounters thirty works made by different artists over the past 458 years. Techniques, styles and eras are intertwined in a visual story that has the archpriestal church as its protagonist, interpreted each time with different sensibilities and languages. The path starts with the most recent work, created with digital graphics, testifying to a project that is not only memory, but also contemporaneity and continuous evolution. Continuing towards the Rivetta, the path reserves surprises and new perspectives, inviting you to observe a familiar place with different eyes.
The Path of the Arcipretali represents the end point of a cultural journey that began in 2019 with an exhibition dedicated to the theme, followed by the publication of the book "Attract glances from more varied points. The arcipretale church of Primiero nella pittura"in 2021, and enriched over the years with new works. It is an invitation to walk slowly, letting yourself be guided by art, history and the landscape, in a continuous dialogue between past and present.
