From 24 August to 13 September 2026, the Tabià of Villa Welsperg, in the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Nature Park, hosts Allarme Rosso, an artistic project by Annalisa Lenzi dedicated to the transformation of the Trentino woods after the Vaia storm and the subsequent spread of the Bostrico typographer (Ips typographus), a phenomenon that has deeply affected the territory.

The artist's relationship with the forest, which has always been part of his life and rooted in Trentino culture, is compared to the effects of the Vaia storm of 2018, which felled and uprooted thousands of trees.

The wounded and weakened forest has become ideal terrain for the proliferation of the Bostrico, a small beetle that, in natural conditions, plays an important role in the balance of the ecosystem, but that in situations of high stress can multiply rapidly and cause extensive damage.

Through photographic and installation works, Allarme rosso recounts this change starting from a personal dimension to arrive at a broader reflection on the relationship between man and nature, on the fragility of ecosystems and on the effects of extreme climatic events.

The Bostrico thus becomes the symbol of an altered balance, but also of a nature capable of transforming and regenerating itself. The project does not want to be just a story of loss, but also a look at the possibility of rebirth of the forest and the responsibility of man in the process of regeneration.
