Open since 1971, it is a basic public reading library, organized to meet the demands of the public of all ages.
It devotes particular attention to the needs of its territory, also enhanced by the projects of the Ecomuseum of Vanoi; for this reason, among the peculiarities of the library's heritage there are insights related to eco-museum issues, including the First World War.
Taking the suggestions born from the Cicona Fumetto project, the library has collected interesting volumes on the world of comics in a special section. The section of books on contemporary and classical music is also very well curated, with bilingual texts.
The library organises various initiatives to promote reading, also in collaboration with associations and local authorities; in particular with the Punto Pace Vanoi Group, it organises bibliographic exhibitions, animated readings for children and young people, cultural evenings and book and film presentations.
The Canal San Bovo Library collaborates with the Primiero Intercommunal Library for the unitary management of the Facebook page of the libraries of the Primiero area and for reading invitation projects aimed at local schools.
