Through the "green heart" of TrentinoThe Vanoi valley is certainly the "wilderness" of Trentino, an ideal place for MTB excursions, alpine skiing, and snowshoeing. We are on the porphyry chain of Lagorai which extends from Passo Rolle to Pergine Valsugana, crossing three Trentino valleys: Primiero-Vanoi, Tesino-Valsugana, and Val di Fiemme. Countryside mainly characterized by wide pastures and extensive forests, babbling streams, and an excellent network of forest roads complete the picture. Worth mentioning are Monte Cauriol, Monte Cardinal, and Monte Cece, not only for the tragic events of the First World War but also for their undeniable wild beauty, the granite mass of the Cima d’Asta group, and the Pale di San Martino group that dominate the horizon to the east. It is also worth visiting the Caoria Museum dedicated to the Great War and the Vanoi Eco-museum.A full-suspension MTB is recommended.
