Across the "green heart" of TrentinoThe Vanoi Valley is surely the “wilderness” of Trentino, an ideal place for mtb excursions, alpine skiing and snowshoeing. We are on the porphyritic Lagorai chain of mountains that stretch from the RollePass to Pergine Valsugana, extending over three Trentino valleys: Primiero-Vanoi, Tesino-Valsugana and Val di Fiemme. Countryside of mainly vast pastures and extensive forests, bubbling torrents and the excellent network of forestry tracks complete the picture. Worth mentioning Mount Cauriol, Mount Cardinal and Mount Cece, not only due to the tragic events of the 1st World War, but because of their undeniable wild beauty, the granite mass of the Cima d’Asta group and the Pale di S. Martino group that dominate the skyline to the east. It is also worth visiting the Museum in Caoria dedicated to the Great War and the Eco-museum of Vanoi.A full suspended mtb is recommended.
