Primiero Slow Tour 1st leg (Fiera di Primiero - Cereda Pass)

Follow the newly restored trail to the beautiful historic site Castel Pietra, a symbol of the Tyrolean Empire in Primiero. Go around the castle’s ruins until you reach Cesurette.

Cross the main road again and in just a few minutes’ walk you’ll reach Laghetto Welsperg, a cute pond in which you’ll see the reflection of the southern side of the Pale di San Martino. Proceed on the educational trail Sentiero delle Muse Fedaie, which was designed and built by the Nature Park Parco Paneveggio Pale di San Martino. One of the main offices of the Park’s administration is actually there, in the historic building Villa Welsperg. Near the villa you’ll find the access point to another trail that goes up on the right mountain side, diving deep into the thick red fir and larch forest.

Continue in this direction until you reach the meadows in Calzoncai, then follow Trail Nr. 738 “Piero Agostini” until you find the main road SP347 to Passo Cereda. From there you only have 10 more minutes to walk before you reach the end of the first leg of the trek, Passo Cereda.

This trekking will lead you through some of the most beautiful and photographed areas of the Primiero Valley. In particular, the following ones are worth an extra stop:
