Navoi – Pinè – Oltra – Madonna Del Sass – Osne

The initial climb may not be suitable for unfit people and very young children, however, once the first difficulties are overcome and the highest point reached, the trip will turn into a very beautiful and comfortable forest walk and allows you to walk in an uncontaminated area rich in natural attractions.

After the initial climb, the route then passes near the Val di Castel biotope in the village of Oltra, while the ascent towards the town of Transacqua features a main stretch entirely in the woods with the remarkable presence of the Sass o dei Piai shrine.

Noteworthy in the Osne locality, though in a state of decay, are the historic Colombaia tower dating back to 1600 and three other longtime settlements currently abandoned.

The route has been completely renovated and today it is possible to ride it entirely by bicycle or spend a few hours walking. During the winter season, the route can be really icy due to the low sun exposure in some parts and the humidity of the forest.

It is also recommended to tackle this loop in the afternoon to enjoy better sun exposure.

Excellent hike to do together with your dog, while if you have a stroller there is a risk of excessive effort in the first part of the route.
