Madonna dei Piai path

An easy hike from Mezzano that leads to Madonna dei Piai via a beautiful forest trail. The return journey follows the Primiero cycle path.The Madonna dei Piai Trail is a woodland path running along the slopes of Monte Piné. It passes the Madonna dei Piai shrine, which was commissioned in the 1830s as an act of thanksgiving to the Virgin Mary for the patron's recovery from cholera. Largely shaded and winding through the woods, it is ideal for those seeking an easy walk—close to the village yet removed from the road and traffic. The route passes through the Navoi Park in Transacqua, where visitors can admire the artwork by Marco Martalar: "La Guàna del Primiero."The Madonna dei Piai trail is not accessible with a pram or stroller.
