In the saddle right under the Pale di San Martino - Tour 2263

This trail provides the chance to follow all the higher parts of the valley almost up to the Rolle Pass, to then return down to Fiera do Primiero via San Martino and then the Val Canali valley.The variety of landscapes covered represents the height of the expression of our territory, with the Pale di San Martino towering over the dense fir woods, “masi”, mountain huts, and elevated meadows. We start with a splendid view of the towns of the lower Primiero facing the Vette Feltrine range, then climb towards Dismoni where the view of the Pale di San Martino and the famous Spigolo del Velo are sure to amaze. We discover the town of San Martino di Castrozza, a famous holiday destination of the European aristocracy in the late 19th century, where a well-deserved pause is a must under the shade of the majestic Dolomite walls. The last stretch, along trails and dirt roads leads us to Val Canali in the heart of the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park, where Villa Welsperg and the suggestive ruins of Castel Pietra allow us to breathe in the splendour of a glorious era.
