Freeride Val Cigolera

A well-known destination for Freeride lovers, which over the past few years has seen a huge increase in the number of participants of this discipline.This very wide basin, facing north, with continuous slope and optimal snow conditions for long periods has made San Martino di Castrozza famous in the Freeriding world.Val Cigolera's ample basin is almost entirely skiable, this route represents the most classic and "safe" descent, however, as always, a minimum evaluation of the snow layer is required, given the presence of steep slopes. Furthermore, it is useful to have an ability to navigate and read the land in order to avoid taking on routes which are difficult to cross when there is lots of fresh snow.
