Water is a precious resource, especially at high altitudes, where the effects of climate change are more evident and water resources increasingly limited. For this reason, in the high mountains every drop counts and you can also make a difference. How? By avoiding wasting water when washing clothes or boots; considering that at the refuge it is not always possible to wash as at home; accepting what the menu offers, also based on the available water; limiting the use of dishes (for example, using the same glass for the second round!). These valuable tips were drawn up by AKU and the Alpine Guides of San Martino di Castrozza as part of the Mountain Drops project, created to raise hikers' awareness about the responsible use of water in refuges and at high altitudes!
