Water is a precious resource, especially at altitude, where the effects of climate change are more evident and water resources are increasingly limited. For this reason, every drop counts in high mountains and you too can make a difference. How? By avoiding wasting water when washing clothes or boots; considering that it is not always possible to wash as at home in the mountain huts; accepting what the menu offers, also based on the available water; limiting the use of crockery (for example, using the same glass for the second round!). These valuable tips were drawn up by AKU and the Alpine Guides of San Martino di Castrozza as part of the Mountain Droplets project, born to raise awareness among hikers about the responsible use of water in mountain huts and at high altitude!
