Crossing the Plateau, Fradusta Peak and descent to the Canali valley

This is the classic ski crossing of the Pale, alternating between desert and lunar landscapes on the Pale Plateau, and the majestic vertical towers of the Canali valley.The route is quite easy, even if good navigational knowledge and attention are required in order to overcome the maze of sinkholes and dips alternating along the route before reaching the Canali pass.There are many variants of the descent, the first of which, just under the Fradusta peak: you can descend on the steep slopes which take you to Buse Alte, and from here re-ascend the Manstorna and descend its steep valley; or after a brief ascent re-join the previous route at the Canali pass. Take care to choose the correct entrance to the woods which leads to the Treviso Refuge and not descend too far into the main valley, which becomes impassable.
