CRODA GRANDA - AGNER WILD TREK - STAGE 1 - Sagron Mis (Chalet Giasenei) - Malga Cavallera (Domadore variant)

After about a kilometer, the path descends slightly to join a forest road. The first section of the road is a flat straight stretch, then it crosses a ford on a stream and from here continues downhill with a series of hairpin bends to the locality Pian de la Not and then towards Domadore turning left onto a slightly uphill trail.

After passing a small ruined hut, the trail continues and leads to the crossing of the Fontane Nere stream, which can be crossed without difficulty thanks to the presence of some steps between the gravel.

Continuing, you reach a junction where you keep left towards Domadore.

You then pass behind an old hut in the locality Boscon.

Further on, you ford two small streams and reach a junction, keep heading west, then a final slight climb to reach the locality Domadore.

Here begins a dirt road suitable for vehicles which leads shortly ahead to a large parking lot.

From the parking lot in Domadore locality, take the forest road that climbs eastward towards Malga Cavallera (trail CAI no. 720) and continue up to the junction at Prà della Forca (1410 m a.s.l.).

From here you can choose between two alternatives:

More direct variant (1.8 km) for those who like slightly more dynamic trails, the route climbs more steeply, through open woods and grassy slopes, until reaching the green pastures of Malga Cavallera. 

Forest road variant (2.8 km) For those who prefer a calmer route amid the silence of the woods, continue along the comfortable forest road up to Rifugio Malga Cavallera
