Do you have plans for the evening? What if we did our daily walk in the evening?
Listen up... guided walk in the heart of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park under the full moon.
Silence, the light of the moon illuminating the profiles of the peaks, in the distance you can almost hear the call of some wild animal.
Beautiful and adventurous, but where shall we have dinner?
Here comes the best part… there’s a stop planned at a mountain hut where, as the sun sets, we’ll be treated to a great aperitif with wines from Trentino and a tasting of Primiero cheeses, before diving into a local menu...
I can already picture it... steaming polenta with the typical Tosèla or a good plate of strangolapreti and then Trentino sweets... delicious to the point of madness!
And there’s one last surprise... joining us on this trip will be a real author, one of those who writes books about mountains.
Great! You’ve convinced me, book it!
Ok, I’ll send you the link with the program so you can study it well.
PROGRAM:
- 6:30 p.m. – Timely meeting at the parking lot next to Malga Rolle. At this hour, you will definitely find a spot!
The meeting with the guide is in front of the mountain hut where our short walk begins.
Aldo will be our guide, explaining the meaning and characteristics of the Natural Park. Also with us will be Chiara Bettega, author of the book that will keep us company during the evening. - 7:30 p.m. – The welcome at the mountain hut couldn’t be better than this: a special aperitif that becomes a journey through the flagship wines of Trentino, guided by an expert. All paired with the tasty cheeses from the Primiero Dairy and, with a bit of luck, a sunset over Cimon della Pala that will make all your followers envious… it’s the magic of enrosadira, when it happens it’s breathtaking!
- 8:00 p.m. – Dinner at the mountain hut
The moment we’ve all been waiting for!
The menu for the evening at Malga Rolle, prepared for us by Fabrizio and his staff, includes:
Appetizer with local cold cuts and cheeses from the Primiero Dairy
Typical dish with polenta, sausage, tosèla, and mushrooms
Ricotta cake
Water, Trentino wine, and coffee are included
For the little ones:
Sausage with potatoes
Sacher cake
soft drink
During dinner, author Chiara Bettega will entertain us with some live stories from her book “Climbing to Survive.” An uphill journey starting from the mixed forests of the medium mountain, entering the conifer forests, emerging in the violent light of alpine meadows, passing through rocky environments, and then into the snow-covered areas of glaciers, finally reaching the summit. At the center are the mountain ecosystems tested by the climate crisis, leading us into a debate that concerns our present. - 9:30 p.m. – Backpack on, we set off for the night adventure! Guided by the light of the full moon wrapped in the great silence of the night. Our guide will have with him a series of tools that may help us, with a bit of luck, to perceive the presence of some wild animals. Experiencing the Park in the evening will be a unique sensory emotion, the full moon will do the rest!
- 10:30 p.m. – Return to the starting point. Your special evening ends here, now awaits a nice rest to make the most of the experiences over the next few days!
