What makes the Paneveggio forest special? Why is the wood from its spruces so prized? And who knows why they call it the "Forest of Violins"?
You will find the answers to these and many other questions during an interesting walk and guided visit, in which we will discover the legendary resonant red spruce and its long journey from the forest to the musical instrument, learn about the work of those who take care of this extraordinary natural heritage, and reflect on the recent changes that have drastically transformed the landscape around us.
A unique opportunity to visit together the Park Visitor Center, the fascinating xylotheque – a place where resonant wood is left to season – and the exhibition of violins curated by the Paneveggio State Forestry Station. A tour through nature, music, and ancient knowledge, where every tree has a story to tell.
