Piedmont, early '900. The Ughetto family lives in the village of Ughettera, a village among the mountains at the foot of Monviso. One day, Luigi Ughetto crosses the Alps in search of a better life in France, along with his wife Cesira and their children, forever changing the family’s destiny. Director Alain Ughetto, grandson of Luigi and Cesira, reconstructs in the film the adventures of his grandparents, retracing the history of his Italian roots.
