Since ancient times, men and women have gathered in solstice and equinox rites to give thanks and renew themselves and the nature that surrounded them. After the autumn equinox celebrated with Tibetan bells, we want to honor this winter solstice through the Shamanic Drum.
"The sound of the drum indicates an increase in Alpha and Theta brain waves. The former are the frequencies that most activate connections between the two hemispheres, leading to states of well-being and relaxation, while the latter are responsible for altering ordinary consciousness toward hypnagogic and ecstatic imagery, facilitating states of great creativity." Morena Luciani Russo, author and researcher.
The sound of the drum is pure meditation, which, by touching specific frequencies, harmonizes our nervous system, giving us sensations of well-being, calm, and care. As we are materialized vibration, rhythm heals us, modulating our energy and mood; rhythm indeed marks our actions and the movements of our internal organs. Life, in its manifestations, is rhythm, just like singing.
Heidi will guide us through the rhythmic sound of the drum on our personal shamanic journey, in search of personal rhythm, power animals, and images from our psyche, taking care of ourselves.
Entry is by free and conscious donation. The proceeds of the evening will be entirely donated to the NGO Testimony Kids Center.
