Do you want to enjoy the luxury of skiing on the freshly groomed slopes and savor a rich breakfast with products from the Road of Cheeses of the Dolomites while waiting for the new day from one of the most panoramic terraces of the alpine arch, which is one of the balconies of the DOLOMITES UNESCO Heritage? Then it's mandatory to get up at dawn! A small effort that is immediately rewarded by the magic of the blue hour, suspended between night and day, followed by the first light of the sun that rises from the Pale di San Martino and illuminates the pristine peaks of the Lagorai range, giving you the thrill of being the first to leave a mark on the Tognola Uno run, one of the top 10 in the Dolomites, in the company of the ski instructors of San Martino di Castrozza.
And if you don't ski? No problem, a beautiful guided snowshoe hike awaits you with our Aquile di San Martino on Alpe Tognola.
Program
- At 6.15 a.m.: meeting at the departure of the Tognola cable car (boarding area). Everyone on time, because the lift opens just for you!
- At 6.30 a.m.: ready... let's go up! Each cabin has the name of one of the peaks surrounding you displayed outside: read it before boarding and have fun discovering together with the ski instructors and the mountain guide where your peak is located.
- At 6.45/7.30 a.m.: those who wake up early need to start with a healthy and rich breakfast! The Tognola lodge awaits you with a cozy awakening: from the renowned cheeses of the Primiero Dairy to the tasty local cold cuts. But also the intense colors and aromas of juices and jams of small fruits, honey, milk, eggs, and Trentino yogurt. To make the traditional sweets even better, a good herbal tea from Erborì will take care of that. In short, everything you need to fuel up with energy!
- At 7.30 a.m.: now there's nothing left to do but look around... Today your eyes will be the morning webcam waiting for the sun to peek right there, at the end of the Pale di San Martino!!!
- At 8.15 a.m.: fasten your helmet and boots, put on your skis... the Tognola Uno run is all yours! Before descending, don't miss the valuable advice from the instructors of the Italian Ski School Dolomiti on how to best enjoy your descent and leave your mark on the snow. For those who don't ski, it's time to put on s snowshoes and poles for a beautiful hike accompanied by one of our mountain guides, the famous Aquile di San Martino. Alternatively, you can choose to return to the valley with the lift, perhaps after enjoying a beautiful morning at high altitude.
- At 8.45 a.m.: you can also decide to go back to bed... but know that at this hour the Ski Area of the Carosello delle Malghe is magnificent, and it's all for you!
Prices:
- €45.00 adults
- €35.00 Juniors aged 8 to 12 (inclusive)
- Children FREE up to 8 years – not completed – with a paying adult (participation recommended for children from 6 years old onwards)
Prices include exclusive and extraordinary opening of the Tognola cable car with ascent, a rich sweet and savory breakfast with local products, and descent with supervision from ski instructors and guided snowshoe hike (equipment included: snowshoes and poles).
The initiative will take place with a minimum of 25 participants. Participation is limited, max 100 people in total.
The snowshoe option is by reservation and for a maximum of 20 people (equipment provided by the Alpine Guides – minimum age 9 years)
In case of strong winds or particularly adverse weather conditions that do not guarantee the regular conduct of the event, the initiative will be postponed to Tuesday 5 January with the possibility of a refund for those who cannot participate on the rescheduled date.
