In this fairy-tale setting, a special experience awaits you: a weekend dedicated to trekking with donkeys in Trentino, amidst foliage, farm animals, and authentic gestures of past rural life. Two slow, family-friendly days filled with discoveries and emotions to share, ideal for those seeking an escape from the city and wanting to give children an unforgettable adventure.
This will be a journey that smells of simplicity: walking alongside donkeys, immersing yourself in the secrets of wool, sitting together over a warm meal, spending an afternoon on the farm among gardens and stables, playing outdoors with nature as your teacher. A genuine immersion in autumn mountain life, amidst colors and traditions that still speak to the heart.
What awaits you
- Wool workshop: the weekend begins Saturday afternoon with an activity steeped in tradition, the wool workshop. You will discover the secrets of this natural fiber and experiment with simple manual techniques together, in a creative and fun moment for both adults and children.
- Autumn dinner. After an afternoon of experiences, you will find the warm atmosphere of the Eco-Baita waiting for you. A dinner with an autumn menu, prepared with local ingredients and recipes that echo mountain flavors.
- Trekking with donkeys. On Sunday morning, you will experience the most awaited moment: trekking with donkeys in the Vanoi Valley. At the slow pace of these sweet travel companions, children can walk alongside them guiding them by the reins, while adults will be enchanted by the colors of the foliage and the beauty of the woods. Games and activities will follow to learn respect for these affectionate and intelligent animals. At the end of the activities, children will have the chance to take a ride on the donkeys.
- Picnic at the farm. After the hike, a simple and tasty picnic at the farm (indoors if it's cold) will be an opportunity to share more moments of togetherness, games, and laughter, before saying goodbye in the early afternoon.
The proposal includes:
- 1 night in a cozy room with a genuine breakfast featuring local and organic products (additional night possible upon request)
- Saturday evening dinner with an autumn menu (first and second courses to choose from two options; drinks, dessert, and coffee not included – children's menu available for the little ones)
- Wool workshop
- Trekking hike with donkeys and games in the company of these sweet animals
- Afternoon at the farm amidst rural life and farm animals
- Cancellation insurance for illness included, to book without worries.
Costs: starting from €140.00. An obligatory registration fee applies: €8.00 for adults and €4.00 for children, which includes accident insurance during the donkey trekking. Optional picnic at a cost of €15.00.
The excursion will be simple and accessible to all. It will take place even in case of light bad weather.
Please bring suitable equipment for a mountain hike and appropriate footwear. The excursion location is reachable by your own means.
