Early mornings scare you? You're not early risers but would like to experience an authentic life as true shepherds? Just for you, we've thought of the evening version of the now-famous Albe in Malga, with a beautiful sunset in the mountains exclusively for your family in the beautiful setting of Malga Fossetta, now one of the few mountain pastures where you can also stay overnight.
Fortunately, the cows are milked twice a day, so you can witness this special moment in the late afternoon, perhaps after a day outdoors among the meadows of Val Canali, and then enjoy a sunset in the mountains, followed by a delicious dinner featuring local products. And for those who want to complete the experience, stay overnight in the mountain pasture under a star-filled sky and wake up to the sound of cowbells, with a healthy and hearty breakfast. In short, reversing the order of events doesn't change the outcome: it will still be a unique and exclusive experience!
What you will do
- Together with the young shepherds of Malga Fossetta, you will go to gather the animals in the pasture and then lead them to the barn. But be careful where you put your feet!
- Everyone in the barn for a demonstration and practice, for those who wish, of milking.
- Activities in the mountain pasture: today you will be the right-hand person of our shepherds... there is always something to do in the mountain pasture, such as feeding the animals or keeping the barn tidy.
- Dinner at sunset: what better place for a tasty dinner at sunset in complete relaxation as the sun sets? Cheeses and cold cuts from the mountain pasture will feature on a rich platter, followed by the unmissable typical dish: polenta, sausage, and Tosèla, paired with a good Trentino wine.
Meeting at 4:30 p.m. at the mountain pasture, end of the activity around 8:30 p.m.
And if you want to continue (we really recommend it!)... It will also be possible to stay overnight in the mountain pasture in one of the lovely wooden rooms with views of the peaks and pastures, for a wake-up to the sound of cowbells leading you straight to a good and genuine km0 breakfast.
