On Friday, June 12, the communities of Primiero will gather to celebrate the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, one of the most significant anniversaries of the Christian tradition, which invites us to contemplate Christ's merciful love for every person and for the whole world.
The Holy Mass will be experienced with particular solemnity thanks to the presence of the Schützenkompanie “Giuseppina Negrelli” Primör, the guardian of the traditions, memory, and values that have shaped the history of our land.
As evening falls, a captivating alpine tradition will be renewed: the lighting of the Hearts of the Sacred Heart. A luminous heart will shine above Mezzano and a second one above Siror, visible from the towns of the Alta Valle.
These fires, which for generations have illuminated the mountains of historic Tyrol during the Feast of the Sacred Heart, are not just a popular tradition but a testimony of faith entrusted to the light of the night. They recall the commitment of our communities to uphold the peace, fraternity, and hope that spring from the Heart of Christ.
As the hearts shine on the slopes of the valley, the gaze of many will rise towards the mountains, in a simple yet profound gesture that unites faith, history, and belonging.
The entire community is invited to participate in this moment of prayer and tradition, guided by the light of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a sign of love that continues to accompany the journey of our towns.
