Reading Group at the Library in Canal San Bovo: "La sonnambula" by Bianca Pitzorno.
Rarely does destiny reveal itself from childhood: but that is exactly what happens to the protagonist of this novel, who is prey to sudden fainting spells from a young age, awakening with the premonition of a future event. Her parents try to keep this gift of hers a secret and hope that a good marriage can secure her: yet that very marriage becomes the most dangerous place for her, forcing her to flee as far as she can to rebuild her life relying only on her own strength. Thus begins, in a city in Sardinia, the adventure of Ofelia Rossi.
