The 10th edition of the Rosetta Verticale Trail Run!
The Rosetta Verticale Trail Run is a mountain running race of great charm, which unfolds on the west side of the slopes of Cimon della Pala up to Cima Rosetta.
It starts from the famous town of San Martino di Castrozza to ascend under the Colverde cable car system up to the homonymous Refuge. From here, the route takes the historic trail 701, completely restored a few years ago by the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park Authority, to ascend through steep bends towards the Dente del Cimòn, cross underneath Cima Corona, reach near the pillar of the Rosetta cable car and then to the cable car's arrival.
With a final brief vertical leap, one reaches the summit cross of Cima Rosetta, where the race ends.
The view from the Summit is spectacular both towards the grandeur of the Cimon, the famous and lunar Altipiano delle Pale, and the view over the Primiero valley and the circle of mountains that surround it at 360°.
