A fun and engaging activity for families and children, filled with stories, curiosities, and play! Let’s listen to the ancient voices hidden within every fragment of rock. After an introductory reading that will reveal how even the smallest stone contains millions of years of history, we will dive into the tactile and visual exploration of various mineral samples. Each stone will become the protagonist of a story: we will observe the reflections of crystals, analyze colors, and test hardness to understand the extraordinary geological diversity of the Park. The journey will conclude with a creative activity where we can shape a drawing of the ancient environment - whether it was a volcano or a tropical ocean - in which every stone began its long history.
The activity will take place in the indoor spaces of the library.
Participation is free and open (reservation recommended).
The activities are designed for families with children aged 5 to 12 years (recommended age range to fully enjoy the offerings). However, participation from families with younger/older children is not excluded.
