Are you ready to challenge the peaks and discover who lives high up, where the air is thin and the temperatures are sharp? The activity begins with a reading that will transport us among the gravel and the high-altitude meadows. Then, through an engaging role-playing game and interpretation, each child will become the spokesperson for an emblematic species: from the ibex to the chamois, from the white grouse to the rare Sattleria sophiae moth, up to the delicate flowers that grow between the rocks. By observing images and natural artifacts, we will explore the incredible survival strategies adopted by plants and animals to live in these conditions that are as delicate as they are extreme. It will be a unique opportunity to closely learn about the work of the Park researchers, engaged in monitoring and conservation projects to protect these fragile treasures of alpine biodiversity, learning that even on the most rugged peaks, life pulses with a surprising force.
The activity will take place in the indoor spaces of the library.
Participation is free and open (reservation recommended).
Activities are designed for families with children aged 5 to 12 years (recommended age group for the best experience). However, families with children of younger/older ages are also welcome to participate.
