Immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of Val Noana and reach the suspended pastures of Monte Vederna. A two-day excursion designed for those who love active trekking, the history of the area, and the authentic culinary tradition of Primiero. Accompanied by a mountain professional, you will experience a memorable adventure amidst breathtaking landscapes and the unmistakable flavors of the famous Knödelfest.
The Alpe di Vederna (or Vedorna) is one of the most fascinating natural and historical treasures of Primiero, serving as a true lush balcony overlooking the Pale di San Martino.
The trail that climbs from Val Noana follows a masterful work of military road engineering, built during the First World War. This mule track, characterized by regular slopes and perfectly embedded hairpin turns in the rock, allowed for easy supply of the troops on the front lines. During the ascent, the route crosses the spectacular gorge of Salton, where the waterfall of the same name makes an impressive leap between rocky walls.
Once reaching the plateau, dominated by pastures and alpine rural architecture, the path touches places of memory.
The "Stoli" Morosna are a system of tunnels, caves, and artillery positions entirely carved into the rock by soldiers to strategically guard the underlying Schener road. Continuing along the ridge, one reaches the Croce degli Alpini: an exceptional vantage point overlooking the Primiero valley that offers a unique 360-degree view.

- Friday, September 4 - The Military Path and Overnight at Altitude
4:00 p.m.: official meeting of participants at the Imèr Tourist Office and departure on foot. For those arriving at the meeting point by car, there is ample free parking available in Giare, Imèr.
Start of trekking towards Monte Vederna.
The route covers about 600 meters of active elevation along the scenic old military road, offering a splendid view of the spectacular Cascata Salton. Accompanying you will be an expert Medium Mountain Guide who will share the secrets and history of the valley.
6:00 p.m. (approximately): arrival at altitude and accommodation at Rifugio Vederna, featuring a special evening dedicated to local gastronomy. The menu includes a mixed appetizer from the region, a rich and steaming "Tris di Canederli" handmade, water, and 1/4 of wine per person included. - Saturday, September 5 - The Panoramic Peaks and Knödelfest
Breakfast served at the refuge to recharge your energy.
Departure for the panoramic excursion towards the historic Stoli Morosna and the majestic Croce degli Alpini, unique and privileged observation points over the surrounding valleys.
1:00 p.m.: Descent and expected arrival directly in the heart of Knödelfest for lunch, to conclude the experience celebrating together the dish that is a symbol of the local tradition.
