The Family Park From Flower to Flower - Bees, Butterflies and… Flies!
A fun and engaging activity for families and children, featuring stories, observation, and play!
The initiative - free and open to everyone - will take place partly inside the library and partly outdoors (weather permitting), in a green area not far from the library. Therefore, comfortable, layered clothing appropriate for going outside is recommended.
Join us for a morning dedicated to studying the little guardians of biodiversity! After a themed reading at the library, we will head to Clarofonte Park, where the world of pollinators will reveal itself in all its beauty. Together, we will describe some butterfly species present in the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, learn to recognize the silent army of bees, wasps, and hoverflies, discovering that their movement from flower to flower follows a delicate balance that sustains life. Equipped with a notebook and curiosity, we will go out in search of flying pollinators to catch them in the act of foraging. Through live sketches and photographs taken with the help of adults, we will learn to name the protagonists of this micromundo, transforming a simple walk into a true naturalistic research mission. The activities are designed for families with children aged 5 to 12 years (recommended age group for fully enjoying the proposals). However, participation is not limited to families with children of younger/older ages.
Participation is free, but advance reservation is appreciated.
