Literary Paths, the Reading Group in the Library at Canal San Bovo, presents "The Duke" by Matteo Melchiorre.
The last heir of a fallen dynasty, the Cimamonte, has retreated to live in the villa that has always belonged to his family. The estate towers over Vallorgàna, a small and isolated mountain village. The world around, the world of today, in which noble dynasties no longer matter to anyone, seems distant. The last of the Cimamonte is a lonely young man whom the locals jokingly call "the Duke."
During the discussion, we will enjoy a delightful herbal tea; don't forget to bring your favorite mug.
