"The Plot Against America" (2004) is an uchronian and dystopian novel in which Philip Roth imagines an alternative reality: in 1940, aviation hero Charles Lindbergh, an isolationist and pro-Nazi, defeats Franklin D. Roosevelt in the presidential elections, dragging the United States towards antisemitism and an alliance with Hitler.
