An exceptional duo – trumpet and accordion - in a corner of Trentino where time seems to have stood still.
Winner in the “Révélation” category of the French Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2016, Lucienne Renaudin Vary is a young classical trumpeter – also appreciated in jazz – winner of numerous awards, including the Opus Klassik Award and the Leonard Bernstein Award. She has released five albums with Warner Classics and is accustomed to performing with major orchestras and at international festivals, with a repertoire that ranges from Chopin to Dvorak, from Mozart to Haydn, from Bernstein to Gershwin. For The Sounds of the Dolomites she will echo the notes of her trumpet in Sagron Mis, in one of the smallest and most remote villages from the provincial capital of Trentino, a peaceful corner just steps away from San Martino di Castrozza and Fiera di Primiero, surrounded by imposing Dolomite peaks.
Here, where the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park meets the Belluno Dolomites National Park, she will perform with Félicien Brut, accordionist who brings the sound of his instrument to the world both as a soloist and with chamber ensembles. An excellent duo that combines virtuosity, passion, and creative freedom, offering the audience a unique experience.
