Once upon a time, during the long autumn and winter evenings, people gathered in their homes, around the stove. Women spun the flax harvested during the summer, while old and young chatted happily, accompanied by the rhythmic sound of the wheel. An almost forgotten custom that we want to bring back to life.
The Filò is a space and time to be together and do what we like most, without having to learn something and without a particular purpose. A few hours to spend in company, during the long winter evenings, freeing the mind and letting the hands speak.
How does it work? You can bring your knitting, crochet, an embroidery, a drawing, some clothing to mend, or any other activity that you enjoy sharing and that is easily transportable. You can also come with.. nothing, neither works nor specific skills! There’s no need to know how to do anything in particular: just have the desire to be together, chat, and dedicate some time to each other. We meet at Palazzo Scopoli, to rediscover together the simple pleasure of the filò.
